Blue chip Non Exec Director? Couple of days a year paid lots of cash. Minimal responsibility. Employ external consultants to spoon feed you. If anything looks like its going wrong resign make a statement about not being happy with the way the company is run and take up a post elsewhere reputation intact. If you feel like you can handle more than a few days a year simply take up more NED positions at other firms.
pay off your mortgage and go work at a golf course 3 or 4 days a week and wait for the inheritances to start rolling in…this is the 10 year plan

Agreed… best work life balance and depending on what you do, the money is very comparable.
Run an infrastructure fund. 2 % base fee for doing six deals in three years and then sit it out for 8 years, wind down and go to the bahamas.
Win the lottery. Give Uncle Sam a decent chunk of your earnings and become a professional bird watcher.
Start a tattoo parlor exclusively for CFA charter holders, and produce only two tattoos: “CFA” on the forehead “Certified Financial Awesome” on the bicep.
You could work for the insititue promoting the Charter.
