Hi,

I am looking to join/form a study group. I live in the SF Bay Area. Perhaps we can plan to meet twice a month or so.

I am planning to answer the CFA Level 1 exam in June 2012.

Also looking to share costs of a study package. I prefer Schweser (notes+Qbank), but open to others also.

I live in SF work in Palo Alto, also studying for Level 1 in June. I already have Schweser study notes but wouldn’t mind meeting once or twice a month to go over topics of difficulty and assess progress.

Same here. I’m studying for the CFA level 1 in June. I live in San Jose and work in Palo Alto a few times a week. I presume that we can meet somewhere near Palo Alto or in SF (because it’s a stellar city) to study.

I don’t know if my earlier messages went out correctly, but do you want to meet on Thursday in Palo Alto around 4pm at the PIzza My Heart on University Avenue? We can grab some early dinner and figure out where to go from there. I’ll bring my study materials.

Hi, I have classes Tuesdays - Thursdays and most Fridays. I prefer a Monday evening (after work - 6:30 pm) or a Weekend meeting. I should be able to make Mondays every week, and weekends/Fridays alternate weeks.

Ok. Great. I can meet Mondays at around 7 or 7:30 if that’s good. Want to meet at Philz Coffee on Forrester Ave at 7:30? I guess I’ll be the person with a CFA book out.

Yes that works. See you this Monday. Which sections have you started studying ? How far are you along in your preparation ?

I will be done with volume 1 by the end of this weekend and will be starting Volume 2 on Monday. I have a whole study schedule mapped out - and it’s not too bad sticking with it. Again, I just have the books, so I’d be down to share the Shweser notes with you.

Hey Kevin7,

So far in our study group, we have been meeting in San Jose or Palo Alto. San Jose is a bit easier for both of us. We can meet Friday afternoon or next week if you’d like. We can see where each of us are standing and areas of needed help.
