Study group in Central Jersey

Hi I am looking for some study group in and around Monmouth County - especially long branch and west long branch. Would definitely appreciate if some one from this area is preparing or know of some one prepping for the exam. I am a software developer trying to get into the finance field and definitely lack the contacts and friends in this field. Hoping to make some good friends and also improve my learning curve. thanks kp

I live in Middletown and just sat for the December '08 exam. If I don’t pass, I would be willing to form a group with you. The Brookdale community college library is a few miles from me and is a good place to study (they have study rooms and stuff). I’ll let you know on Jan 28th whether we’ll be forming that group.

hi BillBelemy thanks for the response. I wish and hope you will pass. Please keep me posted on your status cfaboston, i understand your concern. software job is becoming more of a monotonous job and I am currently enrolled for an MBA at Univ of Chicago. I just wanted to explore the field of finance and see how it pans. I totally understand the current situation. Software is not doing that great either. It is just that it seems to be good from outside :slight_smile: thanks

my brother is a software engineer in no. jersey (he and I are both white caucasian males) and his company actually had a record year this year…

hi bill that is great for him. i am very happy for u guys. it is sad that so many others dont share the same opinion about the current market and its trends. companies like microsoft and others are going through some heavy cost reduction measures and it seems like ur brother is doing absolutely great and he should continue in that.
