Study question

Am new to the forum. Have worked in financial services for 6 years (front office for lion’s share of that time). Am in an MBA program now. My question isn’t about how many hours one should study, but about topic focus.

Do those that have passed lev 1 think that it is better to be an expert at 3 topics (Ethics, FinR, Quant) and have a basic understanding of the other topics? Or be a jack of all trades and tackle every topic equally?

I’d opt for choice C: be very, very good at several topics (at least FRA, Quant, and Fixed Income), good at most other topics, and only passable at at most a couple of topics (such as Alternative Investments, Derivatives, and Portfolio Management).
