Study strategy

I took level 1 exam in december and waiting for results.

One thing I learned towards the end of the study is my approach was not so great… I watched videos and then went to read schwesers notes and wanted to remember everything… ofcourse it took time and wasn’t finished reading and revising material by 1 weeks into the exam. Thats when I tried my first test and scored 55%… I revisited weak areas and took two more exams, and my score was about 62%. (not counting the guessed points with guessed points, it would be around 68%) and I feel bad about the way exam went. I tried recalling questions and verify them after exam and 3 out of 4 questions that I verified were wrong.

Anyways, I read here that some people just watched videos and went on blasting through question bank and are confident about exam.

Every mind is different and so practice would be different.

I would like to know what kind of strategies people used when studying, those who alreay cleared level II and also those who are well into the study right now…

If I clear level 1, I want to make sure I go with right strategy this time.

Thanks,

If you are serious abou the exam you will read the CFAI texts at least once.
