I’m writing the CFA level 1 in June and I was wondering if it makes a difference whether I study the books in order or not? Will information from the first volume be relevant to things I study in the other volumes?
There is no proper study order, some people prefer to go in order others will make their own order by topic. There will always be a little bit of overlap, but it is minimal and should not affect your ability to study in a different order. If anything you’ll likely get the concept explained to you twice - once for each section
true story, order does not matter
Yes to some extent order does not matter but for me the strategy which worked the most was to start with the area which I felt I was confident about. It gave me an unprecedented support and after that I had the feeling that I would pass the exam and same happened I passed it!
