Hey All, I am writing CFA L2 exam this june. I have done around 2200 questions in Schweser Qbank and scored more than 77% till now. I am expecting to do 300-400 more in next couple of days. In few sections(Quantitative, Derivatives, some part of Financial reporting, Corporate Finance and Equity) I have scored more than 85% and in some I have scored around 65-70%. But I am still not sure and confident whether I will clear L2 or not. I didn’t do Mock exam yet but will planning to give on Thursday once I will revise few stuff left. I am still worried…so could please some one suggest me how to be sure and confident whether my preparation is good or still lagging and I can improve in those areas in next 2-3 days. What is best way to check this thing or do I feel confident enough as I am getting good marks in Qbank. Please suggest me …Thanks
Take a couple of mocks asap. Qbank questions arent any real standard to go by imho.
are CFA mock exams enough or do I need to give more mock? I am planning to give on Thursday CFA mock… is that fine?
please don’t tell me Qbank questions were all that you have been working on so far?!
give a schweser mock first n then proceed to a cfai mock … Must warn you… the cfai mock may be a bit demoralizing, its very tough !! … keep the cfai mock errata ready too … the solution have errors in some places … Mainly do not lose confidence … all the best
@passme: what all you suggest me to do now? @thedarkknight: which Schweser I should give…as I know I cant give all 6, so which 1-2 you suggest me to do along with CFA mock? is CFA mock is really tough to crack or it could be crack but because of errors in solution its demoralizing !!!
Qbank doesn’t approximate the exam very well. You would be much better off taking as many mocks as possible. You definitely do not want to walk into the exam having only taken one mock.
ok you are right… is it recommendable if i give 3-4 mock section wise, that means the topics which I revised till now I do questions for that from mocks (like Quants, Derivatives, Alternative, Fin reporting etc) and for other sections I revise in next 2-3 days and then do mock for that… is this ok or I should give mock one in all?
Just keep solving question sets from the mocks. Don’t waste any more time on this site…go on now!
thanks meshed the way I am saying is ok or not. Just wanting to confirm you guys becoz I saw ppl saying ki give mock one in full so that u get feeing for real exams sitting 3hrs continuous
ideally for getting your timing right yes you shdav taken a full mock…but like 2 weeks ago maybe…it’s a little late now, so dont worry about timing much…focus on accuracy, so practice as many questions as possible
CFA Mock should have been done weeks ago and then redone this week. CFA mock will highlight your weaker areas. Also try and get your hands on 2010 mock. QBank, albeit great during your first run through a chapter, is in no way indicative of the real exam. They are easy and not in item set format. Stop using QBank. Start doing mocks.
well yesterday I tried to give CFA mock exa and Schweser Practice set volume 2… and I mentioned I am revising few stuff as well so I didnt give mock in one shot…I did on section basis till now I tried on Quant, AI and Financial reporting (thats means around 25% I have covered so far) my score was like this : Quant- 100% in CFA, 89% in Schweser Volume 2 AI - 83% CFA Mock, 72% schweser Financial reporting- 70% in Schweser How did you guys scored in these particular sections. Some how I found Schweser volume 2 tuffer than CFA mock. Also since I did on section basis may be I scored more than if I give all in one time. I am sure still tuff sections would be waiting for me. Just tell me ur scores so that I come where do i stand as compared to others?
