Super Bowl ending

Doesn’t Darrell Bevell call the plays?

^yup. he blamed the WR lol

yes. He said he was trying to run out the clock and the WR should have went stronger to the ball. So he makes no sense on one front and throws his player under the bus on the other.

agreed. he should’ve just grounded the ball. why try to snipe a pass through defenders? this is more a QB error than a coaching error. i know he’s human, but did he not see the CB converging on his WR? a much better pass would’ve been a high arch throw to his RB which was wide open at the time.

Just reading some Cowboys-related stuff at lunch and ran across this.

“If Tony Romo had thrown that same interception at the end of the SB to lose the game, then the internet might have broken.”

You guys know it’s true. You love to hate 'em.

I hate how all these losers suddenly become experts when they’ve never even coached a peewee team through one play.

The NFL front office must be ecstatic! The face of the NFL is now Tom Brady-Julian Edelman…as opposed to Richard Sherman-Marshawn Lynch. NFL doesn’t get any of my money anyway but for all those NFL executives a marketing win.

John Harbaugh was on the post game show and he said it was a bad play call. He probably knows a little bit about coaching football.

The NFL would rather have Russell Wilson.

So the dipsht throws the ball from the 1 yard line despite having a top 2 running back. Then another blockhead goes offsides negating the advantage of forcing the team to move the ball rather than take a knee. Finally, don’t forget the thuggist street fight on the field. What a joke of a game.

Football is about as real as wrestling these days.

Did you watch the game? Or any NFL game this year? If so, then the NFL got some of your money.

Actually, now that I think about it, the NFL still got some of your money, even if you didn’t watch it. You bought a Pepsi, Pepsi gave some of your money to NBC, NBC gave it to the NFL.

whats he supposed to say, great call?

Don’t drink Pepsi…If money trickles from Time Warner Cable to the NFL…then they got some of my money…I will admit to that.

You’ve added a lot of value to this thread. Keep up the good work!

He could have defended the call and explained why it wasn’t a stupid call. Instead, he flat out said it was a bad call. I don’t know what relationship he and Carroll have, but it’s pretty unusual for coaches to criticize play calling.

How about Gatorade, Mt. Dew, or Tropicana? All Pepsi brands, along with Doritos, Lays, Ruffles, Quaker Foods, and Cheetos.

Good call or bad call. Either way, great play by Butler.

Cowherd said something that struck a chord:

Malcolm Butler (the interceptor) said that they worked on that several times during the week, because they anticipated it. He recognized it and was able to jump the pass.

If that’s true, then is it still that strange of a call? I mean, the Pats worked on defending that during the week.

I’ll agree with that and should note that the play cost me an 8x return on my investment in the office block pool.

Bevell blaming WR is wrong at so many levels. should never do that publicly & in this case he is wrong. Will carry forward in locker rm
