Susquehanna (SIG)

Does any one work there or know what it is like to work for SIG? I was told to prepare for minimal job security and ready to be fired anyday? Appreciate any insight.

Btw, this is for the sell-side equity research RA role.

Did the interviewers tell you that? Why do you want such a volatile job?

I know a guy in institutional sales for them in Boston. He said in any given year he’d not know if he’d get a six figure bonus or get canned. He also mentioned taking loads of clients out to gentleman’s clubs, specifically driving them down to Providence since they permit “touch” down there.

Gangsters and gamblers. You’ll love it.

Holy cow, their website even say they pride themselves in having low turnovers. Guess if they feel they need to say that on the website, their culture really is not employee friendly.

They are serious about non-competes at Susquehanna…

It doesn’t really mean anything – just another example of corporate BS. Add it to the list along with “We support work life balance” and “Our biggest asset is our people” blah blah blah.

“low turnover” = “We have serious non-competes so even if your life is miserable, we will sue your a$$ if you go somewhere else”

Your life is spent obsessing over non-competes, whether they are at Citadel, or SIG, or anywhere else!
