Anyone have a quick way to describe swap spreads? Why are these a relevant tool for comparing relative value between floating and fixed rate markets?
Swap spreads are going to be difference you pay (or receive) above or below the current treasury for a similar maturity.
They reflect views of the market on if interest rates will go up or down.
