take a break

Lots of posts in the last few minutes… end of the work day approaching on the East Coast of the U.S… We’ve all worked so hard, forget the test and remember life before CFA… go out and have some fun, what’s done is done, until the Fall.

True.

CFA is my life

and I failed at life

suicide watch for this guy ??

It still hasn’t sunk in for me that I can go home and do whatever the f I want to do. I wish I felt better about the exam but, w/e it’s only a test.

Did chuck norris take a break after he sank the titanic? No, and neither will I.

It’s strange. I used to have a very strict routine. From Jan to End of March Work --> Supper --> Gym --> After Gym Shake --> Study Then from April it was Work —> Gym --> Study Then May it was Study —> Study —> Study —> Cry Now I find it weird just sitting on my ass after work and playing a little Xbox.

There is a strange absence in my life right now.

Im having fun just sleeping relaxing and watching movies at home. True relaxation.

Yeah, I have no clue what to do with my life. Today I went to the library and signed up for a library card, took out a book and now its just sitting on my table. I don’t know what to do with it.

The movie “Shawshank Redemption” comes to mind. When Brooks finally gets let out of prison, he doesn’t know what to do with himself. He’s been ‘institutionalized’.

I don’t know about you guys but I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck! Since I got home from the test on saturday I’ve gone progressively downhill. Body aches, POUNDING head, stiff neck, no appetite, just terrible! Advil & Tylenol have hardly worked. I wonder how long I’ve been feeling like this and perhaps it was all being masked by adrenaline or something. Don’t remember feeling this bad in a long time… I’m more than happy to take a break. This mess is so unhealthy month after month. yeesh.

Slorte, May be it was just too cold in your exam hall as well. I am definitely close to getting a flu, borderline now, but I was freezing there, literally trembling and rubbing arms to feel warmer

I totally agree. I was never as cold as on Saturday. Still, there were people in the room with shorts and t-shirts. Seem not be cold at all. I was shivering like crazy. Next year, I’m going to take the exam in a different city. I think New Yorker are generally crazy when it comes to air condition… no offense…

I have been diagnose with dequervains and tenosynovitis (from overuse due to writing, leading up to the exam). Will get MRI scan today and possibly 2 injections! Yikes!

Reggie - the ‘institutionalized’ comment is an interesting one. Ha. It is crazy to think of it that way. I completely agree - I have no clue what to do with myself. I just finished grad school as well (took my last exam tonight) so I’m really empty handed. I spent the night removing the CFA material from my book shelf and replacing it with my normal books that were there. My gf stopped in while I was doing it and basically came to the conclusion that I’m completely lost in life, aimlessly doing things…

When i woke up today, my first feeling was to go and have a crack at derivatives…but then remembered that its all over…i guess a habit of 6 months will take atleast a week to go.

I recommend everyone get a korean massage. Nice shawshank reference.
