I’m going to take cfa exam in meadowlands exposition center in new jersey. does anyone know if there is a clock on the wall in the room where we are taking the exam? or is it just better to bring a wristwatch with me to keep track of time?
Bring your own watch.
The testing center I went to announced when there was I think 1 hour, 30 mins, 15 mins ect ect until time was up. They also wrote down the minutes left on large pads of paper on eisels. No clocks on the wall. (I’m not revealing anything confidential am I?)
With that said, follow FT’s advice. I even took my watch off, used the metal links to prop it up, and set it right in front of my exam paper.
Do not look up or look around. I set my watch there so no one could accuse me of looking in any other direction than my test. Risk of investigation or having to take the test again, ain’t nobody got time for that!
This is true of both test centers I’ve taken the test at. Wear a watch. If you don’t have one, go buy one.
The last thing you need is to be looking around for a clock. The procters can accuse you of cheating.
get a $10 watch…best investment you can mek at this point
This is where I’ve been the past two years and will be testing this year. There is a clock on the front wall. The past two years I’ve been in the back of the room (which is massive - it IS an expo center) and could see the clock. That said, I still bring a watch and prop it up in front of me - I keep my world as small as possible on test day so that I don’t risk wandering eyes.
How long before CFAI comes up with a list of approved watches?
^ I was thinking the same. You know it’s coming.
