I am expecting 75% score overall but unsure about CF,Equity and Econ(Close to 70% in these three). But,ethics is the part where I think one can never guess his/her score…!
For me the whole exam was surprisingly easy. I felt a bit over prepared and I felt good similar to when I do well on exams in my undergrad. I am just wondering if the majority of people here felt the exam was easier than expected. I know there is a bias on this board as many posters here have a higher pass rate than the rest of the exam candidates.

By saying easy, how much are you expecting to get??
@nishcool:easy or hard is a relative term and has low correlation with your exam performance…a guy may think that an exam is easy and finally get 50% another guy may feel that exam is difficult and may end up getting 70%.Psychlogical factors determine whether one percives an exam as hard or easy…
Good good but… one or two days for recharging is not a big deal My friends seem to forget me already because I killed my socialization in the past 6 months
But,as far as I can make out from CFA website that MPS is not related to performance of students.Their expert committee decides what should be the minimum competitive score after reviewing and analysing the questions, irrespective of student’s performance. Then they make it the MPS and those scoring above it are given the green signal.
I felt about the same as everyone else, on the cusp of fail / pass. I felt the PM was easier than the AM section for me. Both sections though I was done under the allotted time and spent the remaining 30 minutes in AM and 1 hour in PM to review any questions which I highlighted during the first go to be tricky. Also on each section there were about 30 questions each that I skipped so I could finish the ones I found easier first. That tip definitely saved me alot of time, thanks to all who recommended that! Ended up changing a couple answers.
Ethics was by far the trickiest for me. I felt confident after taking the Schweser qbank questions and CFA mock but some of the wording had me really unsure of my answers on the real thing. Next to Ethics, Economics was hardest for me but that was my weakest area from the get go.
I took the test in Houston and noticed many empty chairs, I don’t know if the facility set up extra or if that many people just didn’t bother to show up. Also, noticed at least 3-4 from my immediate grouping that only took the AM and were not there for the PM. That’s like shooting yourself in the foot imo
Anyone think it’s a bit extreme that we can’t talk about the questions? As soon as you walk out (literally) of the bar exam, you can talk about anything you want.
i think morning session harder than afternoon, but maybe because im too exhausted in the afternoon and didnt give a damn anymore, thus making me quicker to make a guess on the questions that i dont know the answer. Haha.
one funny thing though, when proctors are collecting our answer sheets in the afternoon session, the person sat beside me on the exam said “hey its very easy right? I can answer around 90% of all questions very easily”
After thinking about and verifying questions I know I missed but should’ve answered correctly, there’s no way I passed. I think you need to nail the freebies if you want a shot at it. Such a bummer. I’m guessing band 8 or 9.
Oh, I share with you the feeling. Upon walking out the exam room in the morning, some were surprised and asked me “what? you were running out of time? I finished it in 2 hours. It’s easy” . I was speechless …In fact, for calculation-based questions which I knew how to do, I did the calculations at least 2 times and checked the bubbles again. I just don’t want to lose any points for those that I could tackle nicely due to simple and unecessary mistakes. And it was really worthy because I avoided a couple of traps.
I know that they don’t send results to those who don’t sit for both sessions, so they probably don’t grade them at all, and don’t include them in the calculation of the minimum passing score.
