I’d guess in the 30’s, i wear a tie everyday. Many of them i havent worn in awhile. Its actually keeping up with the dressshirts that is a pain. I am almost to the point where i refuse to buy a white shirt because i know ill ruin it somehow.
I probably have 25 - 35 ties, but 8 - 10 of them are on heavy rotation, and there are probably another 8 - 10 of them that I haven’t worn in years. I should probably give those to goodwill.
Ferragamos and Hermes are overrated and overpriced to begin with. You can spend a lot less money and look just as good. If you’re just ugly then you might be out of luck. Deion Sanders said it best “If I look good I feel good, if I feel good I play good, if I play good I get paid good.”
I would say I have about 30 ties. 1 for every occasion
Turkish! Long time no see – what have you been up to? I have about 40 ties. I haven’t worn about 25% of them, but I tend to buy ties because I like them and in hopes that I’ll have a good outfit or occasion to wear them.
I wear a tie 5 days a week and have 60 or so.
suit everyday…even in july…yea im lookin for sympathy gotta have 50+ this is a stupid thread btw
“Turkish! Long time no see – what have you been up to?” Yeah, I managed to go cold turkey on the forum after taking a month off and switching jobs in the fall. “this is a stupid thread btw” Easily the best thread I’ve seen in a while on here.
Best thread in the universe. Good to see you back again…over time, people had been asking about you and wondering where you were. Nice that you are no longer AWOL.
Ya, I’d rather take about ties and clothing etc. than TARP, asset allocation etc.
It’s good to be back. I easily get addicted though, so I’m trying to keep that under control. What’s new here besides a lot of seriousness?
HAHAh ok you guys convinced me Party on Long live the tie count

I miss the witty sarcasm that ruled the board when I became a member.
Great time to do an MBA…nobody thought of that in a downturn before. Very proactive. How hard is the GMAT, should I study more or less than the series 7?
