70% or better on everything except

50-70% on FRA

Below 50% on Fixed Income

I passed, by the way.

I passed, by the way.

First time poster…started following this forum from around March 2015. Felt completely unprepared when I saw people worrying about getting only 75 to 80% on the mocks after having solved 2000 Quesstions from the Schweser Q bank, all end of chapter CFAI questions twice etc. You get the drift…

I was chuffed to see that I actually passed the exam: 51 to 70% in FRA and Econ, >70% in other sections…

For the benefit of June 2015 CFA L1 takers…

I did two CFA mocks (the AM and PM taken separately, and the full CFA mock) both offered by CFAI in the candidates exam resources tab and scored 67 and 71% respectively. These were the only two mocks that I took during the last week prior to the exam…When I walked out of the actual CFA exam, I felt that my performance would be around 65 to 75%…

I solved all end of chapter Schweser questions twice and most of the CFAI end of chapter questions at least once…Didn’t have much time to read on Fixed income and Derivatives. So just focused on solving the questions and getting some concepts…Definitely spent around 300 or more hours preparing for the exam

In my opinion, if you take 3 to 4 full length exams and solve the Schweser and CFAI end of chapter questions, you would be fine.

This forum is quite useful but don’t let the few worried test takers who just score 85% in the mocks scare you…

First time poster after utilizing this forum for a while…I think I may have the lowest passing score yet…

<50 - Economics

50-70 - Everything Else

>70 - Portfolio Management, Alternative Investments

I must have been like 1 question under 70% on a few topics. Regardless, a P is a P and so I’m happy. Don’t want to cut it so close on level two though!

Hi all! I have just found this cool forum.

I PASSED!!!

I had very limited time to prepare and my results are barelly passing. I guess it’s due to new exam feature - Ethics & Accounting anti-adjustment;)

Corp Fin, Derivatives, Equity, Fixed Income, PM, Quant >70%

Alternatives, Economics 51%-70%

Ethics, Financial Analysis <=50%

Congrats to all who passed!

Hi guys,

Long-time lurker and many thanks who those who discussed topics. I’ll make an effort to do so for Level II now that I (barely) passed:

Alternative Investments 51-70%

Corporate Finance 51-70%

Economics 51-70%

Equity Investments >70%

Ethics 51-70%

FRA >70%

Fixed Income 51-70%

Portfolio Management >70%

Quantitative Methods 51-70%

Passed! Thanks to everyone here! Was a Neuroscience major and had to cram 3 books in the last month. Thumbs up to Schweser!

Alts > 70%

Corp Finance > 70%

Derivatives 51-70%

Econ 51-70%

Equity >70%

Based on the above sample, 99% L1 candidates passed smiley

Or perhaps if you lurk or post on AF (even after the exam), you pass.

Hi all,

I don’t mean to be a debbie downer here, but unfortunatley, I did not pass level 1 in June. I scored 50-70 in corp. finance, econ, equity, ethics, and port. mangt, then <50 in everything else. I was in band 7, so not horrible but really pretty poor. I am a recent finance grad. and now work in the brokerage industry full time. I had a lot going on but I definetly did not spend enough time studying and I really did not deserve to pass.

I used the CFA books to study but I was wondering if anyone has some advice about using a provider.

Also, any advice about singing up in December or waiting until next June. I don’t really care about the money, just wondering what might be best.

Congrats to everyone who did pass!!

Congratulations, JPlans!

Congratulations, millertime!

Congratulations, Matt!
