Congratulations, dude!

I abide.

I must have passed by literally a question or 2, would like to see someone beat this

< 50%- Econ, Fixed Income

> 70%- Equity, corp finance

50-70- everything else

I probably did 85-90% on equity and corp finance as those are my strengths but will definietly have to put in more hours for level 2… I was curious how much the questions on level 2 will tie into level 1 material, will I need to keep my books in case I need to go back and review certain concepts?

Congratulatins, Templebon!

First-time pass of Level I.

Started Study: February 1 2015.

Background: Economics Warwick University

Study Regime - (bear in mind I party a LOT):

1 hour everyday on my commute = 5hrs. Saturday 4hrs at Hendon library

Evenings? 3hrs twice/thrice during the week. Friday night? Never…Saturday night? Never. Sunday? passive reading of notes, perhaps 1h or 2.

Be strict (on both study and party time. On a good week I did 15-20hrs of study. Month to exam, I left work everyday at 5pm without fail (I usually work till 7pm). I took a week off at the beginning on May (for Kapaln exam prep course), and the week run up to exam. I can’t tell you how critical that was for me.

Studied using Kaplan notes, kaplan online weekly class (not so useful), and most importantly, Kaplan one-week exam preparation a month prior to exam.

For those searching for encouragement - I got 58% in my CFAI mock (which I did one week prior to exam, albeit at a bleeding noisy library full of unserious GCSE/A Level candidates).

I then spent 2 full days (the Tuesday and Wednesday prior to exam) going over EVERY SINGLE question I got wrong and making sure I understood each one - that alone probably added 5-7% to my overall grade.

What else did I do that was useful? I blo ody memorised every damn formula on that formula booklet I got from kapaln… And I spent a shedload of time on my weakest area, FRA, which I still only managed a 50-70% band.

See you next June

Gracias!

Congratulations, newguy!

Passed on first attempt, happy and getting ready for level 2 already!

AI, CF, ECON >70%

Derivatives, Equity, Ethics, Fin Rep, Quant, PM >50%

FI <50%.

To all the non finance guys: if I can do it. you can too.

Congratulations, CMIUC!

First time poster,

I think I may have the lowest passing score.

> 70% AI, EI, Ethics, QM

51-70% CF, FRA, PM

<50% D, E, FI

I only studied for two solid weeks because of my other school final exams. My advice would be to definitely go straight to the QBank as it helped me pass the exam. Some background I have a undergraduate finance and am current in a masters of finance programme, both saved some time when studying for Level 1.

Congratulations (on passing), 2Weeks!
