I just hope Chelsea gets trounced twice this week. Their travel schedule is certainly not working to their favor. Today should be a good game though. I like a lot of the chelsea players. Just cant stant Mourinho and Chelsea fans. The optimal season ending will be Liverpool or Man City winning and Man U fading to oblivion, Chelsea with no trophies and Arsenal winning the FA cup.

Soccer is my favourite sport because it is the perfect blend of physical ability and technical skill. Golf is all technical (being consistent is key) and is boring to watch . Football is all physical (most work is done in the gym) and is stop-and-go. They also rely too much on QB and running back. Baseball requires neither. That’s why there are 168 games in a season so they can take an “average”. Law of large numbers and all that. People complain that soccer is low-scoring but is high-scoring that much better? Big plays in basketball include dunking over someone but in reality it is only worth 2 points and the other team can just as easily get it back. I do appreciate the physical side of running up and down the court though.
Only American sport I do watch sometimes is hockey. I like the fast paced action. I don’t like it when they just dump the puck into the opposition area even though I get that they have to do it to change lines. I prefer the passing during power plays to set up the goals. I also don’t like the fighting and before you call me a p*ssy let me note that it is the only sport where fighting is allowed (where the point is not to fight such as MMA).

If you really dislike football, the NBA and NHL playoffs are on, baseball is on. Tons of sports to satisfy your amurican sports appetite. First off, there are lots of ‘brothas’ playing football both in the US and overseas and secondly, you watch all those amurican sports outside of football and hoops because there are ‘brothas’ playing in them?
Anyhow, I’m not going to WC. Too expensive. I do have a handful of friends who are going. I’m sure it will be the time of their lives. I always had the goal of going to Brazil for the WC and then being ready for marriage after. I guess i need a new event to replace this.
I am so psyched that finally the WC would be at a reasonable time for fans in the US - south african and japan/korea time zones were killing me before. The only reason why I’m keeping my $hitty cable around for a few more months
