I missed both CL nights this week, Man City game sounds like a good game. I hope the commentator went ‘AAAAAGUUUUUUUUUERRRRRRRRROOOOOO!!!’ He’d be close to up there with Messi/Ronaldo if his hammys weren’t made out of tissue paper.
In other news, I think the missus might be getting me El Clasico tickets for Christmas for the game in the Camp Nou in March. That would literally be the best present anyone ever got me.
^ for sure, I’m kind of glad I pieced it together in advance because I think I would have actually started crying if I’d opened the envelope on Christmas day without being prepared.
I mentioned that a colleague had recently been to a game at the Nou Camp and since then she’s been asking a lot of questions about whether I’ve ever seen Messi or Ronaldo play live, whether I’ve been to Barcelona and then the other night she asked me if it would be worth seeing either Barca or Real play someone else, to which I said no, El Clasico o nada!
Chelsea should wipe PSG aside as Chelsea are vastly improved since last year and PSG haven’t been able to fix their soft core and never will whilst playing in a 3rd rate league. Anyone that goes there is a mercenary.
^ The difference is that City compete in a top tier league, have won it twice and will eventually start competing more seriously in the Champions League.
Nah, City Chelsea PSG Monaco all mercenary clubs fuelled with Arab and Russia dirt money. Sadly Chelsea and City will dominate the league for a while unless the others manage to rally.
we’ve been here before broski. liverpool without cowboy owners - exactly where they are. united and arsenal without their wealthy owners- same. none of these owners subsidize the club.
chelsea and city without their owners subsidizing their ridiculous operating costs - no way are they runaway leaders at the top.
they’re all pretty much the same though. All bankrolled by foreign owners with the exception of Barca.
agree this season is shit, I watched pretty much every game of the world cup in a drunken haze so maybe overdosed on good football and the 1 horse race in the premier league seems pretty tame in comparison.
