things not explicitly mentioned in the LOS

Do you think it’s safe to not memorize formulas explicitly mentioned in the LOS? For example, the LOS does not say we must compute a Durbin Watson statistic. I know this was the killer question for many last year, but did you have to actually compute it?

No - nobody computes this without a computer.

You could even make the argument that nothing pertaining to DW is “explicitly” mentioned in the LOS. (The explicit words correcting for ARCH or autocorrelation don’t seem to be in the LOS this year). That being said, I’d still know it’s practical uses.
