Is this job really for Microsoft? “Microsoft Great Plains” is the name of a type of accounting software. It seems like this company is hiring someone to build and maintain a Microsoft GP system, and not that Microsoft itself is recruiting for this position.
Just curious about the job overall. Since I’m in no rush with employment during this MBA program, I’m keeping my perspective open for various finance capacities. The link in the email is below. So Language Line is looking for a Microsoft Jock? http://languageline.com/ With the amount of MLM and direct/commission sales type jobs that I get through careerbuilder, I wanted to check out this position that looked legitimate.

The email was crafted to look like Microsoft. The link for more info is LanguageLine.com. Good catch.
Why are you looking at full-time positions right now when you have just started a full-time MBA program? Esp. given that you don’t even understand what this job is and you feel under-qualified. This is just a waste of your time. Focus on finding an internship for the summer.
They emailed me for this job. My resume indicates that I am seeking internships for this summer. I am keeping an open mind for opportunities, and was surprised to see this in my inbox.
^ carere builder is not the all knowing oracle on what jobs you should apply for. You could be sent a job as a lead scientist at CERN through there, are you ganna go and investigate it`?
this is not a job i will be looking at when i get my CFA.
They were spamming you. Get used to it. They didn’t bother to read your resume. They probably had some sort of keyword search blast this thing out to anyone with the word “financial” in their resume and voila!
