tips for L2ers

fellow candidates, if there is one piece of advice i could give to you to help pass Level 2: know Financial Reporting (pensions, etc) inside and out. if you are “good” with the other areas, but a little shaky on FRA, you will not pass. the key to passing Level 2 is making FRA your STRONGEST section. I have not come across one person who has passed when they got <50% on that section.

obviously, you need to know the rest of the material, but FRA is key. i failed my first attempt @ L2 (i tried to skate by with 50/50 knowledge on FRA)…my 2nd go around i made it a point to focus on FRA and make it my strength - I passed after getting >70% on that section.

best of luck

FRA, Equity and FI are priority.

Then Ethics and derivatives.

Good to know. How did you score on the other sections?

Is this the first year that FRA was in the 15% - 20% range? Do you think that will make a difference?
