how do you guys feel abt that you are one from the only 35% that pass, that you are from the elites , that u r better than 65% of the other candidates ?!!
terrible thread…
That’s like asking how it feels to bat .400 for Alaska’s minor league baseball team.
I batted like 0.150 for my Little League team. I would be pretty happy about a 0.400 batting average on my church softball team.
Actually, assuming 1 in 4 don’t show up you are really in something like the top 26% of those that registered. Pat yourself on the back.

I really, really, really hate to admit it, but I think farley013 has a good point. I think in general if you ignore his crazy, aggressive, attacking style and focus only on the content, he usually has a decent point…though not always, lol.
Not really since just in December I was part of the 60% that didn’t make it through. The exam is what you make of it, the time you put into it, and the effort you put forth.
Also, if I passed all three CFA levels…I would still not consider myself elite at all.
Not at all… but Hugh Hefner, now that guy’s elite. hopefully I’ll get close to his level one day.
SkianBrian, FYI, from the CFA Institute webpage… Do the pass/fail numbers published by CFA Institute include all the registered candidates or just the ones who took the exam? The pass rates include only those candidates who actually took the exams. The numbers do not include no-show candidates or those who withdrew.
