Today's sign that the economy is collapsing

So I stop into Dunkin Donuts this AM for some coffee. This woman in a 550 S parks next to me, gets out the car with her dog, and ties the dog to a garbage can. The moment she drops the leash, the dog is off running down the street dragging the garbage can. The woman takes off after the dog but she has no chance, so I take off after it. But this dog is fast, even dragging this garbage can, and a mile down the road I still haven’t caught the thing. So I stop the pursuit (I’m not dressed appropriately for dog-chasing anyway) and start walking back to Dunkin Donuts in humiliation. Then it hits me. The dog was headed straight home, trained to steal garbage cans. Very clever.

must have been a $1400 trash can like JT’s - sounds pretty slick

You ran a whole mile???

Yeah, I can still do that. I used to be able to run pretty decent whole marathons.

lol JDV

JD, I know you can run a mile, during the whole time, nobody helped you to stop the dog?

JDV, I can honestly and EASILY say that you are by far my favourite analystforum.com persona. Willy

what city do you live in? a city of jerks. if a guy is running down the street after a dog who is noticeably dragging a garbage can, I’d have to join in cuz that would be fun and a good story ala this post.

great story
