Total capital = net fixed assets + net working capita

On Schweser practice exam 3 (morning), question 22 has total capital being BV of LT debt + BV of equity, or Net Working Capital + net fixed assets.

I can calculate using the former (beginning BVD and BVE given), but can’t seem to tie it out using the NWC and net fixed assets approach. I wanted to practice using both but perhaps the info doesn’t suffice in the question to do that.

CA using cash, AR, inventory. CL using AP, accrued liab. Net fixed assets is given but even trying to remove depreciation expense from this (should be in there already with accum. dep), I cannot reconcile.

Help?

I think I may have figured it out. Info doesn’t suffice. Need beginning values of net fixed assets and NWC. The balance sheet is ending. Beginning BVE and BVD given outside of B/S was needed here but beginning not given for the others.
