Actually i am glad they stop after 4 seasons because they were all so good! it’s one of the few shows where the later seasons are just as good as the first.
And i love that they didn’t “end” the show, it feels liekt he characters still live on and they can decide to do a movie one day or something.
AND ABSOLUTELY NO AMERICAN VERSION!
The office US is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad!
TV is overrated. Read a book, hit the gym, socialize in a bar. Don’t waste away in front of that idiotbox living through other peoples lives on ‘reality’ TV. Devolution of society is upon us.
I don’t watch much TV, but I get irritated when people act like they’re above that medium of entertainment. I get annoyed when people feel like they’re too good for a lot of stuff to be honest. Unless they’re talking about mainstream music then I give them a thumbs up, unless it’s taylor swift (143 shawty). Realty TV is funny is my point I guess.
I don’t think those things are mutually exclusive. One can watch TV and also read a book on the way to work and work out regularly.
There are many TV shows are very well-written, just like movies, plays, or books.
On top of just entertainment value, it’s also good to keep up with popular culture and what people are watching and talking about. TV does a good job on making references on current events, and even product placements and other things kind of tell you what sells and what’s hot right now… reading Charles Dickens may not give you the next business idea.
Seroiusly though, reading is good for you and can be as (or more) entertaining as TV. If you’ve never read anything before, give it a try! I recommend Barbarian Chicks & Demons Vol. 4
Greenie gets a pass on crappy TV as he has a newborn keeping him on his toes all night. I can understand if he want’s to try and bore jr. to bed with crappy late night re runs.
Reading fiction has given my brain such a break from life. I love spending 1hr reading after a hard workout.
