I had my first CFA related interruption in sleep. I woke up at 2:30 instead of 3:30 this morning. Curious what my first thought as I became concious?
Purchase vs pool accounting
I guess I was dreaming about the material lol

I have done this several times. I wake up in the middle of the night and just start going through a problem or concept. Today it was the excess earnings method, and yesterday it was calculating a levered IRR on real property.
Good stuff. I’ll be glad when those are over! Also, waking up at 3:30? Don’t wanna be too worn out tomorrow.
I’m perfectly rested. I’d bet that I’m more relaxed/focused than 80% of people here. I attribute most of this to studying in the mornings (hence 3:30) before work when I have complete focus. And then doing studying that requires less focus in the evenings before going to bed early.
I swear by the method. Most people just don’t like rearranging their life so drastically, it is takes a period of time to transition and transition out of.
I haven’t slept yet… Pushing 25 hours right now… Anyone considering pulling an all nighter prior to exam?
Haven’t slept good in weeks was calculating convertible bonds In my head
I’m a level 2 retaker (band 9). Last year, the night before the exam, Johan Santana decided to throw the Mets first no-hitter. I was amped up by the game and the test and couldn’t sleep the night before. After laying in bed for a few hours, I decided to watch the Schweser PM videos since it was a weak area.
I would up doing 70%+ in that section was I was expecting less than 50%. I didn’t feel as sharp during the exam though. Personally, not having planned to pull an all nighter, I wouldn’t do it on purpose.
Better hit your local pharmacy for some melatonin before other local candidates hit the shelves leaving them out of stock…
no sleep night before = sure fail! don’t try this, sleep is necessary for your brain so that it can recall information when needed. When you don’t sleep, brain has trouble processing.
I just popped a bendryl. Good night children.
I got 2-3 hours before LII because I was so anxious…adrenaline kicks in during the exam, but man does lack of sleep add another obstacle during the exam. If you can sleep, even for a few hours, I highly recommend it over pulling an all nighter.
Oh, and best of luck tomorrow!
