Trump Wins!

I think I’d prefer that as well. But you can understand how people who have heard promises from politicians all their lives might be skeptical about someone who is proposing ideas without a plan to implement them.

All I’m saying is that Trump would do himself a lot of good by actually showing that he can select and work with a group of experts on an issue and present a coherent plan. As a voter I think that would go a long way in showing me that he’s not all talk.

People all over are starting to border on the absurd. BS covered it best. The hysteria is comical. Regardless who gets elected, the world will go on. On one hand people claim they have no idea what trump would do because he hasn’t laid out any specifics and on the other they claim to know exactly what is in his heart and that his actions, which is what would matter, would destroy America. Everybody is losing it. The only explanation is that there really is an oligarchy that controls politics and Trump isn’t part of it. Romney is making himself look like a fool this morning in Utah. He wasn’t smart enough not to insult half of the electorate and he’s complaining about Trump…

Sure, I can understand it.

FWIW, i hear he has been working with Rudy Guiliani for advice. I suppose there is a fine line between working on a plan and looking like a politician

But why can’t he have even basic plans? To be president, you have to have an idea of how you’re going to accomplish what you want to accomplish before you actually sit down in the oval office. I seriously doubt Trump goes into a new construction project without plans and just wings it as he goes along. I’m pretty sure he knows if a site is suitable for what he wants to build, knows the market is there to support it, knows what it will cost, knows how long it will take, knows what he wants it to look like, knows who he wants to build it, etc. If I went into his office and said I wanted to commit The Trump Organization to building a new project, I’m thinking he’d ask me a lot of those questions and wouldn’t be okay with me just saying “I’m going to build a project that’s so great you’ll love it. It’ll be the best project ever. We’ll make so much money off this project, more money than you can imagine.”

He says he’ll repeal Obamacare. Great, I think Obamacare was horribly constructed and is doomed to fail. When asked what he’ll do instead, all he says is people will have great healthcare, they’ll love it, it will be the best healthcare they’ve ever seen, etc. and then goes off on some tangent of incomplete sentences and thoughts. I can’t vote for that. If you’re going to repeal Obamacare, give me some idea of what will replace it. If you’re going to build a wall at the Mexican border, give me some idea of how much it will cost and how you intend to make Mexico pay for it. The only plan of his I’ve seen with any substance at all is his tax plan and it’s just Jeb’s plan with a percentage point knocked of a rate here and there. He doesn’t even provide any estimates of what the revenue will be.

The president doesn’t do the planning. He/she just says yes or no. I’d figure it out when I Got elected.

Voting for Trump at this point is no different than democrats in congress voting for Obamacare without having read it. To borrow from Nancy Pelosi, a vote for Trump is saying “But we have to pass the bill elect Donald so you can find out what is in ithe’ll do, away from the fog of the controversy of the election.”

Mitt had some good points in his speech about Drumpf. Too bad he is not running again. He would have a fair chance.

Nobody reads bills.

the argument that “the world goes on” with or without trump is empty. someone who uses this argument, ghibli, should not be voting as they see their vote as useless. ghibli, you can’t hijack bs’s stance, when you’re a voter and bs isn’t.

I’m fairly certain the establishment approached Romney to step up the Trump attacks. You can’t really have anyone currently in the leadership do it, because fractured party leadership would be devastating

We should have separate political threads for people who have no voting power in the US at all. Why listen to someone that can’t vote here and doesn’t even live in the US?

It’s pretty hysterical you can dish it out but can’t take it. How many of my posts are you going to delete?

And to answer your question, you don’t think foreigners have the right to opine on US politics when one of the largest issues in the race is… oh right… foreign policy? Christ you’re thick.

They at least have their staff read it and give them a decent summary. Most who voted for it had no clue what was in it.

I welcome the thoughts of non-Americans. I welcome well thought out ideas and opinions from anyone.

+1

Trump has stated he will work to shrink or eliminate all sorts of departments. Hillary will inevitably let everthing grow. An enormous central power has been the downfall of most civilizations. Between the two, there is no choice. Is there someone on the planet less trustworthy than HRC? At least her husband was a good liar. She reminds me of a four year old.

One of the best thing I’ve read on AF. Respect!

Something nefarious is going on. Romney jumping on the invented kkk story is so beneath him. Have you seen the one interview not out of context? Trump is certainly not of low IQ. Probably was not quite as assertive as would be expected in order to keep himself as the top news story. He’s playing the game better than the pros. Have you seen the dozens of other interviews and testimonials from people of color that have worked closely with him. Simply not rational to paint him as a racist. So strange. I’m telling you. He causes people to go cuckoo.

Can we please call this party something else besides Republican now?

Hasn’t been republican since federal spending was below 5% of GDP.
