i know taddwholesale. they do liquidations, clear outs, reverse supply chain stuff…think wal mart, amazon, target, etc returns, exchanges, damged items etc. They are higher on the value chain so i dont think they do manifests or anything they just sell as is and go for vollume.

Yeah, I thought the listing was funny because it is sketchy as hell. Let’s see - if it is still low priced in a couple of days, maybe I’ll bid it just for fun. One would expect that the Tumi luggage itself is quite durable and should be able to resist some trauma on the packaging.
Ohai, for such a BSD “that should be able to make at least $500k on average” (or whatever), I’m surprised to see you trawling around for deals on Tumi bags here and places like Nordstrom Rack. Are San Fran rents that high?
Just because you can afford to but something for a higher, does not mean that you should. Anyway, I don’t actually need anything. It’s more to pass the time as a hobby. I like to track prices of other things I don’t end up buying, like houses or certain types of cars.
Tumi bags are good for this since 1) there are a lot of listings and new one continuously appear, 2) there are not that many product varieties overall, so you can develop a sense of what each should be worth, and 3) these products retain value in the secondary market. Come to think of it, a big part of my actual job lately has been online shopping, just for very esoteric derivative products.
Looks like they have a couple of them and the other one is already more than 2x the price.
