TV Shows - What are you watching? (No Spoilers)

lol mark cuban on latest episode of billions

i did quite enjoy the 1st 3 series but am struggling on the 4th and now my wife is refusing to watch it because I keep falling asleep half way through and episode

Did anyone else watch The Leftovers? I won’t spoil anything, but I think that was probably the best ending to one of the best TV shows, ever. Absolutely brilliant.

It was unbelievably good. The last two seasons are some of the best TV I’ve ever seen.

Nora Durst/Carrie Coon is the GOAT.

I’m incredibly sad it’s over, and worse, got lame ratings. Lindelof stuck the landing this time for sure (*glares at LOST*).

i watch the leftovers on HBO GO, when’s the finale? I haven’t seen it come up yet but am highly anticipating.

It was this past Sunday.

Agreed. Pretty awesome tv. I liked that they left enough open to interpretation. What I was confused about is why I saw this person i didn’t expect to see (edit)…

Yeah, screw the ratings. Goes to show 99% of people have horrible taste. Carrie Coon better get an Emmy, and Justin Theroux and even Scott Glenn should get a nod as well. The final episode, Theroux was as enigmatic, disturbing, funny, and loveable as any character I’ve ever seen on TV.

Hmm…be careful about spoilers. I’d prefer you edit that or at least put a huge spoiler warning first.

And I’d love to give my take on it, but again, that would be an ultimate spoiler. There are great discussions going on over at www.reddit.com/r/theleftovers for more detailed analysis.

I caught an episode a few weeks ago by mistake. Was just flipping through channels and thought it was a movie. Seemed interesting. Will add it to the list.

^ what’s a reasonable amount of time to not talk about spoilers? one week?

In this day and age, I’d say probably a year or so. If you want to discuss, we can start our own thread.

Season 1 is good and very weird but stick with it. Season 2 and 3 are incredible.

the Leftovers?.. i’ve not heard of this one before…

If you like gritty and grim British dramas i would highly recommend Happy Valley. It’s only 6 episodes a series so not a big committment but it’s outstanding.

I’ve been on the road for almost 5 weeks and was planning to watch all these great tv shows that the wife wouldn’t watch but ended up just blasting through No Reservations and Parts Unknown by Anthony Bourdain. He’s a proper bloke.

Twin Peaks (1990). Love it

^Just started watching Twin Peaks from the beginning. It’s got a great comedic undertone. Plus the chicks are hot. One of them has aged amazingly as well. Lara Flynn Boyle did up until MIB, not so much now.

I’ve thought about watching the original series. David Lynch is one messed up dude. I like it.

Just finished Black Sails. Most series like Vikings get worse towards the end, however black sails I felt got better as it went on. It was too focused on sex and romance in the first season, but that was the foundation for lots of character development.
