^ Think he’s Aussie and I didn’t know either until I saw him on The Talking Dead 1/2 way through season 1. A good portion of the cast are Aussies or Brits.
He’s English and has a north of England accent. As the series goes on I’m starting to be more convinced by his southern drawl though.
i love how you guys all think all non American English speaking accents are interchangeable
American Vandal on Netflix is a nice change of pace. It’s Making a Murderer but for a case of a HS parking lot having a bunch of cars graffitied w d!cks. Pretty funny and interesting.
Also on Netflix Unacknowledged will get you pretty woke.
I liked American Vandal. Not the funniest thing ever, but, as you say, a good change of pace.
Carrots.
Powered through The Punisher recently then went back to check out Daredevil. Punisher was legit - absolutely brutal and not for young children but probably some of the best super hero TV i’ve seen yet… until Daredevil. I didn’t think I’d enjoy it this much but DD is also a great watch though it took 2-3 eps to get engaged. Watch DD before TP if you have a choice.
I gotta say, Netflix is killing it with these productions, they’ve done what everyone’s asked for, stop making these comic book adaptations PG13, make them Rated R, gore, crime, fill them with good casts, add the humanity and social complexity, and let the written comic story lines do the rest of the work. DD and TP have definitely shot up on my marvel list.
The marvelous mrs maisel. For all you fellow Jews out there
new dave chapelle specials are great.
stuck with The Walking Dead and it’s definitely worth it. It’s totally farcical but bloody entertaining.
I saw Andrew Lincoln on Talking Dead and he has a proper southern English accent. Turns out he just put on a northern accent for a TV show he was on in the UK. Fun fact, his actual surname is Clutterbuck. bloody English with their stupid names. Who actually calls a baby Nigel or Simon?
Morgan is English as well, he’s one of the lead characters in Line of Duty
dave chapelle, the bird revelation show 27:18 - “maybe these rapes (Hollywood) aren’t even the worst of it…”
Wow, dude just blew up Hollywood. Will be interesting to see if this gets attention.
It did for about half a day. Barring finding out Chapelle eats babies alive, he’s pretty untouchable.
^lol so glad netflix brought him back. viacome executives are fucking retards.
Ballers - highly entertaining so far. Maybe not as relatable as Entourage but its a decent sports version
Altered Carbon
Think Blade Runner with emphasis on social stratefication and the ability to transfer consciousness.
Extremely intriguing premise though it takes 2-3 episodes to get locked in. You won’t understand a whole lot even after 3 hours but trust all will be revealed. The idea is definitely thought provoking - I think script writing could be tighter, especially near the end but there are some big twists and Ortega is definitely easy on the eyes. Really strong execution IMO, great sets and production value, good casting, and crazy to think that at the end of the day this is really just a murder mystery would lots of sci fi plot devices. 8.5/10. Must watch for people who enjoy questions of humanity in a scifi setting. Warning, requires some thinking.
i saw black panther. it was pretty lit. writing was great, had a nice dichontomy about tthis antagonist who was this ruthless evil killer who wanted to share the advanced tech to the world to fix its problems. the protagonist, was this pro-tradition boy scout who wanted to keep themselves isolated from the problems of the world.
Quote: The world is changing. Soon there will only be the conquered and the conquerors. You are a good man, with a good heart. And it’s hard for a good man to be a king.
IMO we need more ruthless people to make the world a better place. so that really struck a chord!
Shocked you liked it considering the obvious social commentry and digs at people who want to build walls. The antagonist isn’t even an antagonist most of the time, just a revolutionary.
Gonna watch it again fo sho! Weekend and Kendrick Lamar nailed that soundtrack
lol uhmm that dude killed a lot of his loved ones to get what he wants. thats not just revolutionary.
also like i said before i am not pro trump. for the most part i would consider myself anti trump, especially due to his tax reform that’ll prolyl increase the deficit so late in the cycle. also i am not pro wall, i think it waste of money as it wont really do much to discourage the act. im not even anti immigration, i just want their very best and for them to get taxed more just cuz they are getting a better opportunity.
anyways yes, absolutely loved the movie, as for the music, i only like the one with the weeknd though. that beat was amazing.
Watching Mozart in the jungle kids. That ish is da troof

Started watching it last night. I dig it.
