In exactly two weeks we’ll all be sitting in a hall somewhere in the world furiously trying to apply everything we’ve learned the past many months.
How’s everyone feeling at this point? I’m personally feeling pretty good, but still nervous about the AM portion. I’m currently finishing a second pass through the Topic Tests, then I’m going to do the mock then it’s back to studying past AM papers and taking passes through notes and study cards for the remaining time. My main worry is that I just won’t be able to pull the information out of my head when I need it, as there’s just so much of it.
All the best over the next two weeks everyone! Keep on cranking!
Exactly the same. A bit nervous about AM. otherwise feel confident. I was burned out totally and finally succeed to take a rest by taking a series of short breaks during days. I am still exhausted as never before and cannot wait to finish this hard daily studying schedule at least for a while (I hope forever).
Just finished 2013AM, feeling pretty good from that. Really comes down to what is on the AM. If it is everything I have problems with, well won’t do as well. Strategy is the same as yours Jay
I spent lots of time with EOC (just once) and qbank and writing a big word file as a CFAI summary and with all the things I made wrong. (Worked finally out in Level 2 for me). And telling everybody around me how hard the CFA is and why I have no time to go out + planning my exam journey to NYC + ordering the right pencils +tracking my time on toggl + printing loads of CFAI mocks at work
Okay, 200h of reading only since december was a bit too much, I have to admit. Now I have 2 weeks of holiday to come out of the fuckin comfort zone. Sleeping and netflix and wine and girls will be reduced to a minimum!
As a 2011 passer, here again to smell the sweet, sweet flop sweat and look forward to Memorial Day. It still feels great 6 years later I don’t mind telling you. Something to look forward to.
The AM is all about survival. Pull anything over a 50 AM and make it up on the back stretch in the afternoon and you’ll be fine. The AM is every bit as bad as you think it’s going to be, but feeling good about it is not a pre requisite for passing. I am living proof.
I plan to go up to a group of people and drop some new knowledge that I no1 else knows yet unless they were at DC 3 day Schweser review. Then i’m going to drop the mic and walk away.
Not only for the leave from work, but it was actually fun to do, especially with Level III and on AF.
Good luck guys, if you prepared well, I promise you’ll do better than you think you will, people tend to overestimate L3 given that it’s the last exam. If you even find the material mildly interesting, it’s twice as easy as L2.
Interesting that you miss the studying. Although it’s hard to imagine that now, I can somewhat see where you might feel a bit nostalgic about the struggle and challenge. Appreciate you stopping in to visit all of us candidates.
