Uber in India

Actually dumb ass de boer, zidhai is pretty much bang on. mcdonalds shut down pretty fast the first time they went to the sub-continent and had to completely revamp their menu after tying up with a local fast food chain.

The mcDonalds in those parts of the world are completely unrecognizable from it’s main north american counterparts apart from the fact that they serve processed meat. if that counts as american culture so be it

nah, you are universally considered to be fat, bald, ugly loud and ignorant. further you are considered to be such a social imbecile that a segment of your population has to engage in sex tourism to pay economically disadvantaged women in latin america and east asia to have sex with you. stay classy cowboy

Ouch. Not cool bro.

I don’t know dude… I tried to back you up on this but this is all I could find…

Back to back world war champs.

What does any of this have to do with SRK’s abs?

lolz

i still need to know why Injuns like to sport mustaches.

the very same!

it’s okay. compared to burgers, pizza, poutine (that’s ours), steak, fried chicken, barbeque, fish fry, and tacos (not sure if this is yours but close enough) indian is just okay. for any meat eater, its tough to side with indian over american.

i don’t think you realize how few people practice yoga in North America or in the west in general.

what are you typing on? how is it powered? how did the communication get from your computer to my computer. all concepts discovered and monetized in North America and used by every relevant person on the planet. where are the best schools on the planet? where will the next great ideas come from? all signs point to North America, and to a lesser extent, the UK.

other than Yoga and indian food, both of which have minimal impact on Western society, what else has India exported in terms of ideas, ways of living, etc etc. i could count 1 million ideas, ways of living, products that North America has sent to india. North American culture is about self-improvement through innovation. indian culture is about food and exercise/meditation that was invented 10,000 years ago. who do you think will lead the future? the past or the future?

I respect your opinions but I think the very different outlooks will probably render this conversation in circles. We were talking about emerging reigons not India though it was used as an example but if you wish in terms of ways of living the concepts are numerous. The idea of ‘Liberation’ draws it’s roots from moksha which is firmly from the ancient sub continental religion of Jainism long before the French laid claim to it. The ideas of ‘Morality’ again drawn from ‘Dharma’ have their roots Hinduism, the idea of ‘Nirvana’ from Buddhism all 3 ancient religions that were founded in the sub-continent and Buddhism’s reach has spread far and wide all the way upto nations like Japan.

The concept of Non violence as a means of protest or peaceful revolution while made popular by the fool Gandhi are derived from the concepts of Ahimsa whose influences again are so wide they could be seen clearly in the recent Egyptian protests and were adopted by people like Mandela and Luther King in their own fight against the white man’s rule.

We haven’t even gotten into the ancient scriptures like the Bhagvad GIta etc.

I doubt a global consumer culture influences people on a personal level simply based on the products manufacturing location or where it’s headquarters is located. If that were the case we would all be speaking Mandarin

Science and technology while fundamental to human culture can never be attributed to a nation. The bulding blocks of Astronomy were documented by the Egptians when they were at their peak, foundational mathematical concepts like trignometric functions etc originated from the Indian Sub-Continent. Elements of Calculus from China and finally developed in Europe. These are the building blocks for whatever modern progress we have made and no nation can claim it to be their ‘culture’. Innovation is simply a product of where the money is located and as for the past 50 years money has been located in the USA it is to be expected that innovation has also come from there.

Good Question.

Given that out of the past 2000 years wealth, innovation etc was heavily concentrated in the Sub-continental reigon and China for close to 1500 of them before Mughals, Japanese and White colonialism took those societies to the bottom of the pyramid and the drastic speed at which they have turned themselves around with one in striking distance of displacing the world’s largest economy and the other held back by the unique causes of a bloody partition leading to the formation of Pakistan and the need to develop nuclear weapons before feeding it’s people looking to pick up speed and finally having elected a pro business government I would say it’s anybodys game.

isldurrr u forgot to sign out of your other screen name

Can you just imagine for a second the innerworkings of isuldur’s mind? Not only does he post on multiple accounts to drum up support for his thesis that America does not contribute anything positive to global culture; he insists what it does is just because the money was there to do it. Someone go tell Qatar and Luxemberg.

Eh, I am not Isildur.

The suggestion that innovation is something unique to the country USA is however absurd and should be treated as such as throughout history innovation has come from various civilizations that have collectively pushed the human race forward. There is no need to get overtly defensive over this fact.

awww, is gaywarr butthurt? i am a proud all american all american.

a true patriot and in commiseration of this depressing event will mark this event by wiping my dirty third world ass with the stars and stripes while singing a heartwrending version of the star spangled banner.

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war’s desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.” And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

freeeeeeedoooommmm!!!

Who the hell cares about that smelly shitpot India and how rapey those ugly little turds are. How else are they going to get laid?

On some level its mind bottling that I get chastised for calling out goldflint’s marathon time that looks like he rode a tortoise to the finish line and yet this thread is still happening.
