Here is the one I am referring to http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/ Anybody has any idea?

From their web page: “The table below contains links to pages that contain information for specific world regions and specific countries.” “Countries: Bangladesh | Canada | Hong Kong | India | Jamaica | Malaysia | Malta | Pakistan | Singapore | Sri Lanka | Trinidad | USA | UK” I recognized a couple of Bilateral Aid Agencies in their list of organizations providing student financing, among them the Aga Khan Foundation which I’ve heard about in another context… That said, I would presume (without really knowing anything about it) that given a limited amount of money of yours, it might be good quality for that money, but at the same time I would assume that not too many people outside the Bilateral Aid & Commonwealth world etc etc have heard about this institution. Their web pages seem fairly focused on their target group/countries. Maybe it all once started off as some sort of commonwealth aid initiative…? But keep in mind this is just my assumption from reading these pages once so I’m only guessing here…

Thanks Mehdi. I did read about the information that you cited above. But I am specifically interested in this http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/prospective_students/postgraduate/soas/quan_fin/index.shtml It looks okay to me. Have no idea if anybody here actually did this or know this. Anish

It looks pretty much the equivalent of these two in combination: http://www.ihh.hj.se/doc/1046 http://www.ihh.hj.se/doc/1609 One big difference lies in the fee structure for attending the program. Either £8,640 or £0… (Source & reading material for you, Anish: http://www.thelocal.se/5337/20061027/ http://www.thelocal.se/4681/20060824/ http://www.thelocal.se/12010/20080526/ http://www.thelocal.se/11572/20080506/ http://www.thelocal.se/12594/20080623/ http://www.thelocal.se/12618/20080624/ ) Footnote: There is an e-mail address mentioned on the latter site. The application period still (as of 26 June 2008) open to “late applicants”. Mehdi

I think it is a pretty low cost program. I am considering doing it myself. Is it a well recognized school.

I was/am considering this too …although i wdnt expect a lot of job opps through the program itself … There is a facebook group with current former students on there and there have been mixed reviews about the curriculum . Seems like there is a lot of overlap b/w this and the CFAI material , however in terms of distance learning programmes and the associated costs this is a great option . http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2354404579 CeFiMS, SOAS, University of London

Rydex and Rudeboi, are you both referring to the program that I am talking about?? or the one Mehdi is talking about? Thanks Anish

im not sure what mehdi is talkin about
