I don’t know if anyone else finds themselves regular American Airlines fliers transiting through airports that used to be US Airways hubs, but I have to say, I detect a feeling like these folks have not yet become comfortable with integration. I get the sense that US Airways lifers are upset about their “corporate identity” being subsumed by the merger. “Corporate identity,” you know, for whatever that’s worth nowadays.
US Airway’s management runs the new entity, but maybe that’s not any consolation when the planes and systems say American.
