For the sake of the broader debate, the UK is seeing double digit rises in knife violence and leads Europe in violent crime and violent rapes. If we’re taking situations where a felon (banned from owning guns) has a gun and uses it to kill someone in a robbery the reality is he could just have easily been stabbed, etc.
That said, the situation in Spring Garden is tragic and sucks. Some people are just animals.

Your reaction always seems to be an appeal to authority. Why aren’t you comfortable relying on your own ability to comprehend things? Like maybe take a look at those stats together and try to figure out how they can both possibly be true at the same time. Forget the fact that they supposedly came from an authority figure.
He’s pointing out that if two thirds of gun deaths are suicides and you claim only 4% are due to mental health in your stats, somebody is very obviously wrong and you don’t need a PhD in stats and social sciences to tell that’s an idiotic statement seeing as how suicides are almost universally considered a mental health issue.
