Using the CFA Certification Mark in emails/on business cards

Hi all,

Well aware that this may be perceived as douchey move … but … any advice/examples of where to place the CFA certification mark/logo in both an email signature, and on a business card?

In the email signature, perhaps directly after the ‘CFA’ letters & before other qualifications, or after all other qualifications?

GUIDE ME.

Cheers.

Aware that I may be perceived as as wise guy…You do know that putting the CFA logo on your business card is against the CFA standards of practice?

According to this: http://www.cfainstitute.org/about/governance/policies/Pages/charterholder_use_of_cfa_marks.aspx

  • “The trademark notice does not have to appear on letterhead or business cards.”

Which suggests that it can be used on them?

I have to admit I was wrong. Shame on me!!! You are right, it may be used.

Hey, we’re all charterholders here, mistakes are cool!

Cheeky bump?

do people really put it after their names in an email signature. That is straight up douchebaggery.

how about Name, CFA…

That’s all ya need, anything more is overkill. Doing a logo is probably worse than Name, MBA

dude is a tool FO SHO

Depends where you work.

what u need the logo for? name, cfa

Name, CFA. That’s all you need.

Logo? are you fking serious?

Can’t use it on an email signature anyway, I stand corrected. And hey, it looks cool on a business card - there aren’t any CFA charterholders within 50km of where I work, best to stand out as much as possible, draw the eye etc!

Are you sure CFA is even valued at where you work?

I can already smell the sweet aroma of mockery in your office

It’s common in the US to have Name, CFA on email signature. I’m debating it though as I work in real estate and the CFA is not that common. Some people may perceive it as like the Name, MBA, which makes you look like a loser and joke.
