I know that obviously one should not volunteer simply to network, but it seems like a good opportunity…Does anyone here do any volunteering (e.g. United Way) and has it presented any opportunities for you? It seems like a lot of members of boards and on steering committees work in finance… however i think it’s for more senior positions and may be difficult for the young guns on AF to attain a spot… Anyways, does anyone have any experiences with this?
