This may sound ridiculous to any actual hunters out there, but couldn’t he just get some sort of tranquilizer tipped on one of his arrows and use that to shoot the lion? I mean it sounds easier to me just shoot the thing take it down and get a few pictures with and be on your way?
the story about killing the rhino was totally logical and i support it. The old alpha rhino couldn’t mate anymore and the breedable younger males couldn’t do thing. Raising money + allowing the species to procreate more = win win
Cecil the lion was wrong. they lured him out, and tried to hide it by destroying the GPS collar.
^Pythons are an invasive species in Florida causing a ton of problems to the local ecosystem. Florida wildlife officials would very much appreciate anyone killing every python they come across.
^ No one is talking about it because of the rarity of lions. They’re talking about it because it was the beautiful, beloved Cecil. The African Wild Dog population is down around 5,000 and you don’t read any stories about them being killed.
It doesn’t matter how rare something is. If people care about it, it becomes a big issue.
like if Kim kardiashian was killed with a bow/arrow, it would get a ton of coverage as opposed to some leading research scientist developing drug cures killed. even if the latter is obv far more beneficial to society.
AF is quiet today? Is everyone out protesting Walter Palmer returning to work? I should have set up a booth for my Cecil Charity to ensure no Lion is ever hunted again.
Reporting that he was returning to work today is total BS. The initial story was borderline newsworthy at best, but there is nothing newsworthy about his return to work. Seems pretty clear the media actually wants someone to do something at his office today.
According to the news last night, he was coming out of hiding today, even though he had not been in hiding; he had been off visiting relatives and things.
