Now that he feels comfortable enough to go back to work despite breaking the law and illegally hunting a critically endagered species is a pretty newsworthy story.
Walter Palmer is a felon who is somehow able to still possess weapons. He is not happy hunting legally and so he goes after protected animals illegally. Just like he is not happy with his wife so he sexually harasses random women. Doesn’t sound like anyone needs to be paid to dislike this man.

Authorities in Zimbabwe have decided not to charge the American dentist who hunted and killed one of Africa’s most beloved lions, saying Walter Palmer went through the proper channels before he set out on the savanna with a bow and arrow.
But a Zimbabwean cabinet minister said Monday that Palmer had obtained the legal authority to do it.
“We approached the police and then the prosecutor general, and it turned out that Palmer came to Zimbabwe because all the papers were in order,” Environment Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri told reporters, according to Agence France-Presse.
This reminds me of a passage from The Return of Jeeves , by P. G. Wodehouse:

Are those of you that jumped to conclusions going to apologize to the dentist for accusing him of being a law breaker?
Despicable. Cecil’s horrendous suffering and meaningless death at least brought home the point that a small group of barbaric humans love to kill. They simply love everything associated with pointless killing. Is it the sight and smell and feel of warm blood? Is it the glee of destroying families? Is it the thrill of causing intense pain and fear in another sentient being? Creeps. Walter Palmer will forever be associated with this type of uncivilized behavior. It will happen again and people will be just as outraged.
There are no places for large, wild, and beautiful predators that are free of humans.
There are over 7 billion of us humans and less than 50 thousand lions on this planet. Enough is enough.
