From reading the forum it’s quite clear that the Level II Qbank is not up to the standard of the Level I version.
So, a question for past Level II candidates: how did you work round this? Did you find an alternative? like Finquiz’ version or just blitzing the Institute EOC’s time and again. Or did you completely alter your study/prep strategy?
For information, I used the Qbank a lot whilst studying for Level I. Mainly to check that I really understood concepts during my 1st read through and then as a quick way to review previous material when i’d moved onto a different section. I didn’t use it much in the last month of prep as i found the schweser practice exam/ cfai mock to be much harder and, as it turned out, a better indication of what to expect on exam day.
It’s not that QBank is bad… I think the issue is the format of the questions. QBank is GREAT for refreshing your head on topics… But to get a deeper understanding you would need to do a lot of the CFAI EOC questions. I failed last year… and I believe its because I didn’t spend that much time on the EOCs… I’m going to change that… I guess we’ll see this year! Good luck
QBank for Level II holds it’s worth under the Hard difficulty setting. Aside from that, the easy and medium questions are more for refreshing rather than testing purpose. My 0.02.
