CNBC special, right now. Gasparino has to be the hardest working dude on TV right now

Its not shorting, its CNBC which needs to be banned.

lol ^^. i didnt see anyone complaining when CNBC was cheerleader-in-chief on the way up. media guys are going to do what they always did -hype it up.

CNBC is so much better if you mute the TV and make up your own voices. Its kinda like Most Extreme Elimination Challenge but with lots of stock price graphs. Seriously, crush a few natties (daj-style, of course) , then play this game with some friends. You won’t regret. it.

I never understand why people watch CNBC if they also have access to Bloomberg TV.

because bloomberg does not have feet on the ground for reporting exclusive breaking news. its a news distribution/analysis operation primarily.

As you flip past the weather channel every day, have you ever noticed them making huge headline lead story about a calm sunny day in Des Moines? Nope. It is going to be Geraldo, shouting catchphrases into a windy mic, on location in a raincoat, in the middle of a hurricane somewhere. That is what grabs viewers and sells ads for the Shamwow. There is always a flood somewhere.

I believe CNBC adds to volatility during times when the market needs it least…dot bomb, financials…it brings “the street” to the average investor - it hypes them up, then scares them to death. It provides the false sense of “critical information” when it is a great deal of conjecture and opinion. Unfortunately, some very senior and powerful people watch this stuff.
