about this time last year i quit cable, bought a new laptop and ventured into the internet tv world to “pay less and get more!” that sort of happened for a month or two until i got good ol hd cable back for half the price. so i’m back, looking at all these gadgets and trying to sort it out. anyone use these things? boxee box, iomega tv, hulu, roku, googleTV, appleTV, etc.
so i hooked up my new router (N-Gigs biches!!!) and connected my ps3 to the online world - now i have access to netflix, vudu, hulu plus, mlbtv and nhl. this crap is awesome. when i get some free time next week, i’m check out the free subscriptions…should make watching tv/movies i missed while studying a breeze.
There was a pretty good article on Yahoo a couple months ago about ways to watch nearly everything without having cable. If you search around enough you can probably still find it. Streaming Netflix is okay, but a lot of their library isn’t available to stream and you do have to have at least a $9.99/mo subscription. Haven’t used Hulu in a while, but it was okay.
This may be the article: It’s a few months old, but most of it is still relavent http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/110122/you-dont-have-to-pay-for-cable-tv?mod=series-a-article

Thanks rhyme. Thing that stops me from cutting off the cable is sports. I haven’t found a way to get Flyers and Phillies in HD without Comcast.

How are you getting those channels on PS3? Are you just using the browser?
