Weird test experiences

Since there’s already a thread dedicated to test questions, I figured non-question related experiences deserve a hearing. I sat next to the same girl as I did during level 2. I wasn’t sure at first it was the same girl, but since she was one of maybe two cute girls in the room… Too bad she’s got a ring on it. Anyone else have any weird experiences.

i thought there were only 10 questions in the am exam then in the last minute saw there was an 11th one for the history books

^ Yeah that was messed up! Had plenty of time to do it though at least.

I think I did well enough on the rest of the exam to pass, but that’s not how I want to go down if I failed.

I saw the 11th question with 10 minutes to go after just zoning out for 20 minutes. Brutal.

The USA Soccer team was playing some other team for the Olympic or World Cup Qualifiers close to the test center. 1 hr before the PM session ended you could hear all these people honking their horns and getting roudy outside. Kind of distracting…

I believe seating does go by candidate number (at least in certain locations) – I’ve sat with the same group of people since level 1. The group has thinned out each level, but I’d previously chatted with both the girl to my left and the guy to my right before. Also, pretty much my entire room took level 1 in Dec '07.

I printed out my exam ticket the night before as I lost a copy I had printed a month ealier. Everything was fine on the screen. However, the morning of I reviewed the ticket and realized all my info was in code. Hussled to get it printed again (fortunately had 1 piece of blank paper left, all my paper was used to print out all the past CFA exams and answers). While in line to enter the test room discussed the event with a friend. When she showed her exam ticket to the proctor in order to enter she realized her’s was all in code. She still got to write the exam. Apparently it happens often. Still, unnerving to say the least.

i had a guy slmost try and site me for a violation for talking after the exam. kid you not. then he decided to move to another table for pm.

guy next to me talked to himself- and made fist pump gestures under his desk and grunted as if he saw questions he felt prepared for  I’m guessing he did well on some parts.

I’m surprised that many of you didn’t realize there’s 11 questions in total. After the first 6 questions, I flipped to the back of the exam and started working backwards, it was a good strategy since those questions weren’t hard.

There was vomit all over the floor of the parking garage elevator at my test site. I can only assume it was a nervous CFA candidate.

I had scribbled (Forward rate formula) on the test ticket during the a.m session. To my horror I had noticed the formula on the ticket when I entered for the p.m session. And when I saw that it was a violation to write anything on the test ticket , I thought of skipping the p.m. session. I thought it was better to skip the p.m test, than being held for violation. Anyway I took a chance and ripped the area on the ticket which had the formula and presented the ripped ticket for the p.m session. The proctor said it was a violation to have a ripped ticket. After bit of reasoning and pleading, they gave me a new ticket (handwritten). I am so happy that the proctors allowed me to take the p.m session. Moral of the story : When faced with adversity , don’t lose hope.

I found questions 8 and 9 to be hardest so it was kind of perfect cuz those were the two last ones I had to deal with and I had plenty of time to deal with them!

Help! I was sitting in the first row. In the afternoon session, I felt a flash (fells like a camera). Is there monitor for cheating? Was that because I looked like cheating?
