Do all ER analysts/associates, who are located on the west coast, work east coast market hours? In otherwords, be at the office by 5:00am for a morning call to start the day? If that’s the case, what time do you usually finish the day (on average)? Thanks
Yes. Some shops have even earlier calls, but 5 is the norm. You should be in the office before the call, ready to answer any questions regarding current events in your industry that may have been announced overnight. I wouldn’t expect to get out of the office before 5pm, either. It definitely depends on your group and your boss. During earnings season both the start time and end time spread.
