When I used to study for the exams, I made it a priority to study every single day, even only 15 mins on some days I was very busy. I wanted to keep the momentum. Because taking 1 day off could lead to 2, etc.
Funny you said this… My body was telling me " f*** this CFA BS " and I listened…so for the last week and half I havnt thouched any cfa material. I might study today …who knows
At this point, with less than a month left, I do not plan on taking a day off. This may sound crazy but I took plenty of days off between August and October. I am pretty sure I went 10 days without opening a book between then…
I feel like every day counts now, honestly, I don’t expect to kill this exam in fact i know i will not score above 80% on it, I know I am going to be on bubble between a pass and a fail, taking one day off could be the difference between a pass and a fail… the CFA is no joke. I have yet to score above 70% on any quiz on the qbank (have taken about 9… 20-40 questions quiz’s).
I guess if you feel confident about where you are at, you can take as much time off as you want.
I anticipate long days and long nights for the next 26 days…
I take weekends off usually. When the test gets closer, I’m more likely to study on weekends. But I’m a proponet of quality vs quantity. Just studying a ton isn’t useful. I learned that in college and instead try to get 2 hours of super human like focus, instead of 4 of lackluster focus.
I never took a complete day off, because as “former trader” said, I was worried it would turn into days and months.
If I scored well on some tests/EOC questions or finished some topic sooner - then I would “gift” myself an hour of Cricket or a ManU football match to watch etc And the gift was closely monitored by my Wife and Son to make sure I dont overdo it!!! But never gifted myself a complete day
I hardly ever thought about which day to choose to take off. Just everyday to put the books on the desk and to work out some plans is so spontaneous to me…
Nevertheless, there’s nothing to worry about taking a day or two off because we want to enjoy life more…How could it be damaging since it’s about relaxing yourself.
