what do you think of Qbank?

What do you guys think of Qbank? I cant read anymore. So I was thinking about spending a few days doing Qbank… Is it too easy?

Many questions are too easy, but I’m confident if you could do every problem in Qbank then you would pass with ease. There are plenty of difficult questions that cover all the testable material.

Did wonders for LI. I didn’t think much of it for LII. Very few of the questions were presented in item set formats. Save your money and purchase the Schweser Practice/Mock exams.

Their vignettes are pretty good/similar, sometimes even harder than EOCs, but yes not all of the little questions are meant to be exam-type, but they can certainly add a fresh perspective to look at

I find the Qbank ‘advanced questions only’ setting to still be overly easy and simplistic. This is some what disappointing because I think the Qbank is what got me through L1 in December. I have pretty much stopped doing Qbank questions and I am just concentrating on getting all the CFAI EOC questions done over the next month. Then the next month I will try to do all the Schweser & CFAI Practice Exams. Has anyone who took the L2 exam last year have any comments? I would be interested to know if you thought the Qbank questions did a good job of replicating what the actual exam questions were like.

CFA will be realistic. Euro has more value than the dollar.

I purchased the Qbank for Level I and got 100% on the Qbank tests just before the exam. I passed L1 so I purchased the LII Qbank but I stopped using it as soon as a I recognized questions from the L1 Qbank.

If not Qbank, then any suggestions? I will be doing all the practice exams and such… But my plan to start that is still a month away. I would like to rely on something like Qbank where I can just go through thousands of questions to help with retention.

I used QBANK the first time I took level 2 and I found it useless. The questions are way too easy and are not like the questions you will see on game day. However, I do agree with MK514 in regards to helping with retention. I ordered flashcards from schweser to help with retention and I plan to do EVERY EOC question a few times. (Didn’t do this the first time around). The questions are long and in-depth, but, in the end, the CFAI is putting together the exam and the EOC questions will be the best representation of what we COULD see. Hope this helps.

q-bank for level 2 is useless and waste of time

well after all these posts i think i will stay away from Qbank… just remmber guys, if I fail I am still going to be unemployed and that leaves me with a lot of time to come after you guys for giving me poor advice… best of luck to all

If you are unemployed, then you should really pass this exam. If you can put 500 hours into it, there’s no good reason you’ll fail.

750 is what i am going for grumble… i think we can all agree if i fail with 750 hours i should go back to washing dishes

Hot damn, 750 would be a dream for me. I probably won’t clear 400!

well i would say 350 hours out of my study are wasted or are going to be wasted on “proving” stuff that is not required for the exam and wont affect my score…so you are safe… like one time i spent 12 hours, and 10 excel sheets proving why equity val=firm val-market val of debt and under what conditions it holds… looool i also keep emailing CFA institute about error in their books, sometimes i am correct, sometimes i am not… but all in all its all a waste of time, and i sure could get by with 400 if i stop doing this shit, i just cant !

finquiz are easier but also the questions are shorter so as a retention tool you spend less time and boosts the retention rate better
