What happens to candidates who violate a rule at the exam?

Hey everyone, Friend recieved the pcp inquiry in the mail the other day and now the proctor wrote that he saw her writing or erasing for 3 seconds after the call of stop. But she wasn’t writing. The proctor also said in the report that she asked the proctor to not send the report to the CFA board! My friend just wants the chance to write again next year and not get a suspension of five years!

CFAI believes the proctor over the candidate 99% of the time per a Stalla instructor’s observation as a grader for the CFAI. Have your friend take the private censure and they should be fine to take the exam next year.

I saw a guy get caught writing after time is up. He was then escorted out of the building. He was very angry. Throwing things around and shouting profanity. ;p

Is it wrong that I had to read the first paragraph twice, because the he/she screwed me up? i.e. I couldn’t get my head around a female candidate/male proctor; how unconventional!

I have a hard time feeling sorry for anyone on this. It is made clear before and during the exams. They do not whisper please put your pens down. They shout it out. Loud and clear, there is no ambiguity. People are always taking the p*ss and trying to write extra stuff after time has been called. Pretty much every level I wanted to work on a missed problem. I didn’t. I put the pen down. I failed a couple of levels a couple of times, marginally. I didn’t try to cheat the rules of the game. I resat. Every year I saw someone writing on after the exam. I wish those b*st*rds had got hauled up too and escorted out of the exam. You can’t imagine how angry it makes you as you sit there, knowing that it could make or break the result and the mofo next to you is still writing for the next 30 seconds. No compassion. Unless your friend is actually deaf, in which case she should have applied for exceptions prior to the exam. So, no compassion.
