What if a Version of AF Was Available for Med Students?

Let’s play a game. Imagine that AF was available for med students and young doctors, and that the questions asked by posters were coming out of the same clueless place of naivete. I’ll go first:

Hi Guyz, dermatology student here. I have cleared all of my medical exams to look at skin lesions for a living but im looking to get into brain surgery. Can someones here tells me the difference between brain surgery and cardiology in terms of difficulty? Would be difficult for foreign student to study newrology in U.S.? How many additional weeks of training it require to open skull and fix brain versus purscribing skin creem? Tanks a bunch for your help guys…sorry I’m so sheepish but I’m new to the forum lolz!

OBAMA_CARE_SUX - Say guys, how do I break into BIG MEDICAL. Currently I’m working as a nurse at a boutique clinic specializing in referrals to physicians. I went to my local state medical school and I did take the RN exam and scored greater than 70 in all of the deciles.

ITERACARE - Take out the rusty scalpel and slit your sack you disgusting “doctor.” People like you are a disgrace to the entire practice and I personally wouldn’t trust you to neuter my enemies dog. Go top 2 MD or slit your sack, what is so hard about that? John Hopkins or jizz mopping, that’s it. Any med school other than a top 2 is just a pure waste of money and time. May as well push a broom around a hospital and save yourself the trouble, that is, after you’ve slit your sack. It would be criminal for you to reproduce with your subpar genetic makeup.

Say, this reminds me of a filthy joke I heard, what do you call a guy who graduated with straight Cs from med school? A - A doctor.

“Russian nurses are the best, just don’t get sick.”

Hi, I currently work in IT in Bangalore, but I was wondering if I pursue a certificate course in Medicine if I could switch to Dana Farber Cancer Institute treating cancer without having to attend medical school, do an internship, a residency or even get a bachelors degree from an Ivy league school that Dana Farber has heard of. Oh by the way, I never wash my hands or comb my hair. I’ve also never convinced a woman to sleep with me. I smell bad. I don’t brush my teeth.

I memorized four textbooks on medicine so I am therefore perfectly qualified to be responsible for somebody’s life and treat cancer in the US.

Oh this was really well done.

The only thing that came to mind was there would be a lot more chicks.

Can you please give advice on career change from IT to medicine? I graduated from top tier IT institute. Truth is I am not passion about IT, but I am very passion about medicine after having honor of sitting in on heart surgery, I knew this is what I want to do for rest of my life…I also like brain surgery, plastic surgery, psychology, pediatrics…I know I can excel in all because I will put the work no problem! I know my starting pay will be lower but am willing to work for nothing next to a top 1 doctor so I can have experience. Tell me why no one accepts my offer?! I cleared RN exam and will be giving PA exam next month! I will also write the MCATs soon…tell me is it very hard to get into top medicine school in the US? Do I need student visa?

Hi Guys,

I hate people like you coming on the Medical Forumz who already passed Medical Board Review and make HappyFace$. I will tell you that my friend was working in Journalism and passed all three Levels of the CERTIFICATE. They were recruited heavily to work at the biggest hospitals in NYC and translate the patients ailments into Doctor Language because the doctors no longer spoke the common tongue. They did this all while balancing family, work, nuclear research and opening a restaurant after their mother ran out on them. They were 99.

Love,

IMPORTANT POSTER

I haven’t looked at this thread for some time so forgive me…

I wanted to extend a toast to the excellent work done on this…was lmfao for quite a bit of time at these awesome fake posts.

I missed this the first go around. This is great lol

I see the humur in these posts but there’s a big difference between a doctor and a FO analyst. Basically, all jokes aside getting a 3 year cert in finance (CFA) does qualify you for a FO position unlike medicine which takes years of study and hands on experience.

There’s studentdoctor.net which seems pretty analogous to AF in some ways, albeit for the medical profession

Derm, Optho, and Anesthesia… or Hacksaw.
