What is the difference between credit linked coupon bond and CLN?

They both seem to be to be credit linked debt instrument, what is the difference?

I don’t see either of these in the Level II curriculum. Do you have a volume & page reference?

FinancialWar, the difference is that Credit-Link Coupon Bond is a subset of Credit-Link Note. Credit-Link Note is a more generic term. (the explaination hereafter assume that you know the basic struture of the credit-link instrument). For example, a Credit-Link Note can be a contract with an equity (or equity index) as the underlying asset (For example, check VelocityShare as a practical example http://www.velocitysharesetns.com). But for the Credit-link coupon bond, the underlying instrument is a bond that pays coupon.
