I’m busy trying to figure out a way that I can get a job with a firmthat will transfer me to India for a couple of years. I just love India and think it would be a great experience to spend some time working there.
Just quit my job as a risk analyst, detested every hour of it. Want to get out of the bank all together, I don’t know why I do this.
Buy side financial analyst covering equity and fixed income
IT. Feel a bit outlandish next to all the derivatives traders and quants.
I’m a CDS Trading Assistant at a big bank (sell side). I do Risk, P&L, Trade Booking, Amendments, Some Pricing, System Reconciliations and am generally everybody’s beyotch. It’s like being 10% FO + 80% MO +10% BO. I’m taking CFA to try to open some doors. I’d love to get into PE/VC, but a revenue generating job would be just fine with me!

Equity Research Associate
Left my prior job earlier this year as junior VP (what a silly title) in i-banking at a boutique. Decent undergrad(top 20). Never had time or money for grad, working on CFA both as a learning process and for the credential. Strangely, after studying all these material, I kinda feel that I would prefer to be on the sell-side banking rather than buy-side. If I ever make a switch, it would be either VC or PE. From the study, portfolio management didn’t appeal to me much.
